Change the World by Changing your Words

Updated: Mar 6

Proverbs 18:21 confirms that death and life are in the power of the tongue.

We hold the decision to tame our tongue. Christians cannot sincerely praise and worship God if they cannot manage to shut their mouth when needed.

Imagine what a peaceful world we could have, if people would choose to speak words that give life, not words that give strife.

Nobody is perfect. Everyone is a work on progress. Even the nicest person you know still hides a weakness within.

Spreading gossip and false accusations toward somebody is like an incurable disease that keeps on spreading.

Is there any remedy for this disease? Have you experienced the effects of someone's negative words in your soul? Do you feel that it weakens your bones?

Human tongues must be used to give direction in times of confusion, to release knowledge when one ignores the light, and to give life to someone who losses hope.

Here are five practical ways to tame your tongue:

1. Change the way you think about yourself and about others.

Loving yourself first makes you love others as well.

2. Learn to appreciate and eliminate.

Appreciate people's efforts and choose to eliminate gossips and complaints.

3. Stop speaking evil against somebody.

If you don't have nice thing to say, better not to say it.

4. Disengage in any arguments on social media.

Have social media ethics. Personal issues must be solved on an individual basis.

5. Spend more time in feeding your mind with positivity and truth from the bible.

Whatever is in your heart, you will speak. Feeding your inner self with truths from the

bible will change you on the outside.

Spreading rumors is more harmful to you than the person you want to hurt.

Why? Simply because you are inflicting curse in your soul and spirit. The Holy Spirit's assignment is to empower you and give you grace. But still, it is your assignment to tame your tongue.

Dear friends, the message is clear! It is now the right time to guard your tongue. It is time to take responsibility for your own words. Use your tongue for good, not for evil.

If you are busy doing your life's assignment, you will have no time for unneccessary things.
