Prayer Principles

Have you ever experienced a time when prayer was a significant part of your life, providing a profound connection, only to later feel disheartened and exhausted as your prayers seemed unanswered and your situation worsened?

Prayer has always played a crucial role in my life. When I first met the Lord, my prayer life was full of energy and deeply satisfying. However, over time, that initial passion began to wane. Even though I spent hours in prayer, I started feeling bored and drained. My prayers appeared to go unanswered, and my circumstances often deteriorated, contrary to what I prayed for.

Until I discovered, that power in prayer is not rooted in emotions, feelings, rituals, or human theories.

Prayer is one of the most essential keys to experiencing God's kingdom on earth. Here are four principles that one must strive to know and experience to have their prayers answered.

Stay in the right relationship with God

Staying connected to God ensures that our prayers are not just about asking for things, but about developing a relationship with Him, understanding His desires for our lives, and seeking His guidance and wisdom in all matters.

Pray according to God's Word

God's words are the basis for His will over someone's life. This is why it is essential to read, meditate, and apply the principles of His words. Whether we are praying for personal, family, community, national, or global needs, we must strive to align with God’s will. God's plan is for humanity to seek His intervention to fulfill His purposes in the world, allowing goodness and truth to prevail over evil and darkness.

Pray to discover your purpose and fulfill it on earth

When we pray, we represent God's interest on earth. Prayer involves aligning with and participating in God’s purposes for the earth. It signifies a union with God—a unity in purpose, thought, desire, will, reason, motive, objective, and feelings. God brings about change on earth when people are in harmony with His will.

If we ask God for things that go against our purpose, we will become frustrated. Jesus' confidence in prayer stemmed from knowing and fulfilling God's will. He consistently prayed for God's will to be done and then actively worked to achieve it.

Pray in Jesus' Name

The authority of Jesus' name grants us access to our heavenly Father. It allows us to align with His purposes and to request that He fulfill His Word, addressing both our needs and the needs of others.

From Genesis to Revelation, God consistently chose a person to help Him achieve His purposes. He now approaches you and essentially asks, "Are you willing? Will you assist Me in fulfilling My purposes for your life and the earth?"
