Personally, I have experienced a time when I almost lost my sanity. The trauma I endured left me broken, unable to stay alone, and easily freaked out by the slightest tremor. Nights were the worst; I couldn't sleep properly, haunted by the echo of voices. I heard the laughter of those who mocked us, saw the pitying glances, and endured the relentless negativity aimed our way.


But one day, amidst the chaos and despair, I made a decision: to reclaim my true self, to rise above the pain, and to find a way back to positivity and peace.


Here are some practical strategies that helped me stay positive, even when times are tough.


Embrace Mindfulness and Meditation

Mindfulness and meditation practices can help you stay grounded and present, reducing anxiety and fostering a positive mindset. Read the scriptures and some good books. Listen to uplifting songs. These practices encourage you to focus on the moment, allowing you to appreciate the here and now rather than worrying about the past or future.




Practice Gratitude Daily

Take a few minutes each day to reflect on what you’re thankful for. This can be as simple as appreciating a sunny day, a kind word from a friend, or a delicious meal. Keeping a gratitude journal can be particularly helpful. 



Surround Yourself with Positive People

The company you keep has a significant impact on your mindset. Surround yourself with positive, supportive individuals who uplift and inspire you. Avoid those who drain your energy with constant negativity. 



Engage in Physical Activity

Exercise is a natural mood booster.



Set Realistic Goals and Celebrate Achievements

Setting realistic, achievable goals gives you a sense of purpose and direction. Break down larger goals into smaller, manageable tasks and celebrate your progress along the way. Acknowledging your achievements, no matter how small, can boost your confidence and keep you motivated.

Constant exposure to negative news and media can contribute to feelings of hopelessness and anxiety. Be mindful of your media consumption and choose to engage with content that inspires and educates rather than content that brings you down.

A healthy lifestyle contributes significantly to a positive mindset. Ensure you get enough sleep, eat a balanced diet, and stay hydrated.

Sometimes, an outside perspective is just what you need to regain your footing.



Staying positive is a continuous journey that requires effort and practice. Remember, positivity is not about ignoring the challenges but about approaching them with a hopeful and proactive mindset. Embrace each day with gratitude as a new beginning of blessings and meaningful life.
