Many people see the death of Jesus as a moment to remember, solemn, sacred, and emotional. And while it is all of those things, it is also much more.
His death was not meant to be a yearly reminder. It was meant to be a daily reality.
Jesus did not die for nothing. He died with purpose, and that purpose includes you.

His Death Was a Fulfillment, Not a Tragedy
Jesus’ final words, “It is finished,” were not words of defeat. They were a declaration of completion.
Everything He came to do, He did!
He fulfilled His assignment as a man on earth.
He restored what was lost.
He made salvation available.
He paid the price that no human could ever pay. And He did it for you and me!
His death was not a drama. It was a divine fulfillment of purpose.
And according to the principles taught by Dr. Myles Munroe, when purpose is fulfilled, life is complete.
Jesus did His part, fully, completely, perfectly!
Salvation Is His Part. Living It Out Is Ours.
Here’s where many people stop: They receive salvation, but they don’t walk in it.
Salvation is a gift, but transformation is a responsibility.
Jesus made freedom available. But it is our role to live in that freedom.
He restored your identity. But it is your role to walk as His child.
He gave you authority. But it is your role to exercise dominion over your life.
Faith is not proven by words alone. It is revealed through a life that aligns with His will.
His Death Brought Back Your Dominion
From the very beginning, humanity was designed to rule, not in control over people, but in stewardship over life.
Genesis 1:26 reveals that God gave us authority to manage the earth.
That original design was disrupted, but not destroyed.
Jesus came to restore what was lost.
Through His death and resurrection, He reestablished your access:
Access to God
Access to identity
Access to purpose
Access to authority
Taking Up Your Cross: What It Really Means
Jesus said to take up your cross, not as punishment, but as purpose.
This is not about suffering for the sake of suffering. This is about commitment to your calling.
Taking up your cross means:
Staying faithful when it’s hard
Continuing when you feel like quitting
Choosing obedience over comfort
Pursuing purpose over convenience
It means saying,“Lord, I will not stop until You are done with me.”
The Resurrection Is Your Empowerment
Jesus didn’t just die, He rose again!
Why?
Because death was not the goal. Restoration was.
His resurrection is proof that:
Sin no longer has the final say
Death no longer has authority
You are no longer bound
And more than that, it is your invitation to live a new life.
A life of purpose.
A life of power.
A life of dominion.
Jesus Did His Part. Now It’s Time to Do Yours.
We don’t just remember what He did. We respond to it.
We don’t just commemorate the cross. We carry its message through how we live.
We don’t just receive salvation. We walk in transformation.
Jesus finished His assignment.
Now it’s time to live yours.
